The story behind Pitch Gurus, and who it is being built for.
Behind every athlete who breaks through, there is a coach who knew exactly what to do. Yet most coaching careers still run on word of mouth: referrals, reposted flyers, and being in the right place at the right time.
We watched brilliant coaches with decades of experience stay invisible to athletes searching a few miles away. Clubs and schools recycling the same small circle of contacts. Parents picking whoever happened to be nearby, because nearby was all they could see.
So we are building Pitch Gurus: one place where coaches, performance analysts, and physiotherapists are visible, verifiable, and bookable, where clubs and facilities have a page of their own, and where anyone in sport can find exactly the expertise they need.
The problems we are solving
Being a great coach is hard enough. Running the business should not be harder.
We have spoken to coaches at every level and heard the same four frustrations again and again. Pitch Gurus is being built to remove them.
- Nobody can find you
Your reputation lives in word of mouth and your credentials in a CV nobody reads. New clients cannot discover you, so growth stalls at the edge of your network.
The fix: A professional profile with your sports, qualifications, services, and reviews, surfaced in search to athletes, clubs, and schools.
- Admin eats your evenings
Bookings in WhatsApp threads, availability in a spreadsheet, enquiries spread across three inboxes. The admin around coaching quietly becomes a second job.
The fix: Bookings, availability, and messaging in one calendar that prevents clashes and follows you to the touchline.
- Getting paid is awkward
Bank transfers, unpaid invoices, and money conversations after a session. Charging properly for your expertise should never feel uncomfortable.
The fix: Clients pay through Stripe at the moment they book. Payouts land in your account, minus just a 3% platform fee.
- Trust is hard to prove
Anyone can call themselves a coach online, and parents, clubs, and schools have no reliable way to tell the difference. Genuine credentials get lost in the noise.
The fix: Identity verification and reviews from real, completed bookings show every client you are the real thing.

- Run bookable events with capacity limits, scheduling, and discount codes. Attendee lists and participant management are handled for you.

- Manage every booking in one calendar and take payment through Stripe at the moment of booking, with payouts direct to your account.
- Specialist expertise on tap
- Search coaches, performance analysts, and physiotherapists by sport and specialism, then message and book them directly when you need extra support.

What we want to achieve

We are launching country by country, guided by three ambitions.

- Remote coaching and video analysis mean geography no longer decides who you learn from. A swimmer in Lagos should reach a stroke specialist in Sydney as easily as one across town.
- Make coaching a sustainable career
- Coaches should earn properly from what they know. We keep our fee at 3%, hand over the business tools, and never tell a coach what to charge.
- Raise the standard for everyone
- When coaches are verified, reviewed, and easy to book, athletes train with confidence, organisations hire with certainty, and the whole sport benefits.
