Creating Articles
Publishing articles on Pitch Gurus is one of the best ways to showcase your expertise, attract new clients, and keep your profile active. Articles appear on your public profile and can be discovered by athletes browsing the platform.
Getting Started
- Go to your Profile page and select Content
- Click Create Article
- Enter a title for your article
- Write your content using the editor
- Add a cover image to make your article stand out
- Select one or more categories that describe the topic
- Tag the sports your article relates to
- Click Save to save as a draft, or publish when ready
Writing Your Article
The article editor supports rich text formatting including headings, bold and italic text, bullet points, numbered lists, and links. Structure your article with clear headings and short paragraphs to make it easy to scan.
Good article topics for coaches include:
- Training tips and drills for specific sports or skills
- Insights into coaching philosophy or methodology
- Seasonal preparation guides
- Nutrition and fitness advice relevant to your sport
- Case studies or success stories from your coaching experience
- Analysis of techniques, tactics, or match situations
Cover Images
A strong cover image makes your article more appealing when displayed on your profile or in search results. You can upload your own image or use the AI image generator to create one. See AI Content Tools for more on AI-generated images.
Categories and Sport Tags
Assign your article to one or more content categories so athletes can filter and find relevant articles. Adding sport tags ensures your article appears when athletes search for content related to a specific sport.
Monthly Article Limit
Coach accounts can publish up to 4 articles per calendar month. This limit resets at the start of each month. Drafted articles do not count toward the limit until they are published.
Tips for Great Articles
- Keep articles focused on a single topic rather than covering too much ground
- Write for your target audience. Think about what athletes, parents, or fellow coaches would find useful
- Include practical, actionable advice that readers can apply immediately
- Use your own experience and examples to add authenticity
- Aim for 500 to 1,500 words. Long enough to be useful, short enough to hold attention
