Bowdon RUFC, founded in 1877, has been based at Clay Lane in Timperley, Greater Manchester, since 1938. The club runs three senior teams and supports over 350 minis and juniors, and its 1st XV plays in Regional 1 North West for the first time after winning Regional 2 North West in 2024-25. The club also founded the Bowdon Sevens, the oldest surviving sevens tournament in northern England.
