Burton Rugby Football Club was formed in 1870 and is one of the oldest rugby union clubs in the world. After more than a century at Peel Croft, the club moved to its new Battlestead Croft ground in Tatenhill, Burton upon Trent, in 2020. It operates several senior teams, academy sides and a full junior section, with the 1st XV competing in Regional 1 North West.
