Deleting Your Account

There are two ways to step away from Pitch Gurus. You can close your account, which cancels your subscription but keeps your data so you can come back later, or you can ask us to permanently delete your personal data. This guide explains both, what happens to your information, and how long we keep it.

Closing Your Account

To close your account:

  1. Go to Profile > Account > Plans & Billing
  2. Select Close Account
  3. Choose whether to keep access until the end of your current billing period, or to cancel immediately
  4. Confirm with your password

Closing your account cancels your subscription. Your profile, content, messages, and bookings are not deleted. If you cancel at the end of your billing period, you keep full access until that date. If you cancel immediately, your profile is removed from search and you leave your conversations straight away, but nothing is erased.

The 90-Day Cooling-Off Period

When you close your account, we keep all of your data for a 90-day cooling-off period. This gives you time to change your mind.

At any point during these 90 days you can reactivate from your Plans & Billing page, resume your subscription, and pick up exactly where you left off, with your profile, history, and connections intact. You will not lose anything while you are in the cooling-off period.

Reactivating

To come back:

  1. Sign in and go to Profile > Account > Plans & Billing
  2. Select Resume if you are still within your billing period, or start a new subscription
  3. Your profile and data are restored and you become searchable again

If you cancelled before your billing period ended, resuming simply restarts your existing plan. If your plan had already ended, you start a fresh subscription and any valid discount you held is reapplied where possible.

Permanently Deleting Your Data

If you want your personal data removed rather than just paused, email us at support@pitchgurus.co from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. If you have not reactivated by the end of the 90-day cooling-off period, we also remove or anonymise your personal data, keeping only the records described below.

When we delete your account we remove or anonymise:

  • Your name, contact details, and login credentials
  • Your profile, bio, photos, and any content you created
  • Your private messages

We keep, in anonymised form:

  • Bookings, sessions, and event records
  • Payment and invoice records

What We Keep and Why

Some records cannot be fully erased, because other people and our legal obligations depend on them. A booking links two parties together, and the coach or client on the other side of that booking still needs an accurate record of what took place. Payment and tax records must be kept to meet UK accounting and financial reporting rules.

For these reasons we anonymise this data rather than delete it. We strip out the details that identify you personally and keep only the minimal transactional record needed for data integrity, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. These records are held for the periods set out in our Privacy Policy. For example, booking and billing records are retained for up to 7 years for financial reporting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will closing my account delete my data straight away? No. Closing your account cancels your subscription but keeps your data. Nothing is deleted during the 90-day cooling-off period.

Can I get my account back after the cooling-off period? You can reactivate at any time during the 90-day cooling-off period and lose nothing. Once your personal data has been deleted or anonymised after that period, it cannot be restored.

Why do you keep my booking history? Bookings involve another person and form part of our financial records. We anonymise them so they no longer identify you, but we cannot remove them entirely while the other party or our legal obligations still rely on them.
