Cover Images
Every service and event needs a cover image. It is the first thing people see in search results, on your profile, and on the listing itself, and it is shown at a 3:2 ratio everywhere on Pitch Gurus.
There are three ways to get one. You pick between them on the cover image step of the service or event form: choosing one opens its controls underneath it, and each option shows what it costs before you open it. You can switch between them as often as you like, and whichever you choose last is the one that gets saved.
Ready-Made Designs
The quickest route, and it costs nothing. Pick one of ten designs and Pitch Gurus fills it in with the details you have already entered: the name, the sport, the price, and for events the date and venue. Your logo or profile photo goes on it too.
Click Browse designs to open the picker. Every design is previewed with your own details, so you are picking a finished cover rather than a blank layout.
The Designs
Five are built around a photo you supply:
- Overlay puts your photo full bleed with the details set into a gradient at the foot
- Band runs your photo across the top with the details on a solid band beneath
- Duotone pushes your photo to a single tone and centres the title over it
- Spotlight lays a solid card of colour over your photo, with the photo showing around it
- Split puts your photo on one side and a bold type panel on the other
The other five need no photo:
- Bold is oversized type on a deep gradient
- Blocks uses geometric shapes in your highlight colour with the title reversed out
- Banner carries the title on a full-width band of colour
- Ticket is a ticket and its stub, with the price torn off down the side
- Clean is light and editorial with a single accent
Pick a photo design without adding a photo and it falls back to a plain coloured background, so nothing looks broken.
Colours
Twelve colourways are built in, from Midnight and Charcoal through to the lighter Bone and Chalk. Each swatch is split in two so you can see both halves of the pairing: the background on the left, and the highlight used for the price and accents on the right.
Below the swatches is Your own colours, where you set a background and a highlight yourself. Both are used exactly as you pick them, so you can match your club or brand. The text on top switches between light and dark on its own to stay readable, but the two colours are your call, so check the previews before you commit.
Your own colours are kept separate from the twelve presets. Trying a preset does not overwrite them.
Adding a Photo
The five photo designs take a photo you upload. Click Add a photo and the design redraws with your photo behind it. You can change or remove it at any point.
Your photo is stored separately from the finished cover. Come back later to change the wording or the colour and you start from your original photo, not from the last image you made.
Editing the Details
You can change the headline and the supporting line before you commit, and switch off the price, date, or location if you would rather leave them off the image. Services have no date or venue, so only the price toggle appears on those.
When you are happy, click Use this image. Nothing is saved until you do.
Your Own Image
Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP up to 10 MB. Landscape works best, since the image is cropped to 3:2.
Ask Scout
Scout draws an original image from scratch, based on your listing's details. This is the only one of the three that costs credits, and the cost is shown before you start. Nothing is charged if the generation fails.
See AI Service Tools for more on Scout.
Coming Back to Change It
Covers made from a design remember how they were made. Reopen the picker and it lands on the design, the colours, and the photo you used last time, so you can adjust one thing without rebuilding the whole image.
Listings show a small badge on covers you did not upload yourself, so you can tell whether an image came from a design or from Scout.
