Creating a Service
Services are the core of your offering on Pitch Gurus. Each service listing describes what you provide, who it's for, how you'll deliver it, what it costs, and what the client receives. Well-crafted listings help clients understand exactly what they're booking.
Getting Started
- Go to your Profile page and select Services
- Click Create Service
- Complete the five-step form (see sections below)
- Click Save on the final step to save as a draft, or publish when ready
New services are always saved as a draft first. You can publish when you are happy with the listing. Use the Next and Previous buttons to move between steps. If any step has validation errors, the form shows a summary at the top with quick links to the steps that need attention.
Step 1: Details
Service Active
A toggle at the top of step 1 controls whether the service is active. Turn it off to hide the service from your profile and prevent new bookings without deleting the listing.
Name
Provide a clear, descriptive name that clients will search for. Be specific about what the service includes.
Good examples:
- "One-to-One Sports Physiotherapy Assessment"
- "Video Performance Analysis Session"
- "4-Week Nutrition Plan for Athletes"
Avoid: generic names like "My Service", "Session", or "Package 1".
Service URL
A URL slug is auto-generated from the service name so your listing has a clean, shareable link, for example pitchgurus.com/service/your-name/sports-physio-assessment. You can edit the slug at any time. The system checks availability in real time and offers alternative suggestions if your chosen slug is already taken. See Service URL for more.
Sports
Tag the sports your service relates to. Options are drawn from the sport profiles you have created on your account. If you have not created any sport profiles yet, you will see a prompt to create one before you can assign sports to the service.
Coach Disciplines
Select the coach disciplines that describe what this service covers. Disciplines are grouped by category, and you can search within the list to find the right ones quickly.
Delivery Option
Choose how the service is delivered:
- Remotely - Delivered remotely via a video call or a report shared through the platform
- In Person - Delivered face-to-face at a pre-determined location or that of the client
- Remotely and/or In Person - Delivered via a combination of the two
If you pick Remotely, the "Client Requirements" option in step 4 becomes mandatory: clients will be asked for the information you need (e.g. video footage) before the service can begin.
Country Restriction
Optionally restrict this service to clients in your own country. When the toggle is on you can also set a maximum travel radius (in km) from your city, which is useful if you only travel a certain distance to deliver in-person sessions.
Step 2: Who this is for
Age Groups
Specify which age groups this service is aimed at. Leave blank to make the service available to all ages.
Questions for the booker
Choose which questions are asked at checkout. Required questions must be answered before the booking can be confirmed. The list of available questions adapts to the age groups, delivery option, and any published policies on your account, so you only see questions that are relevant.
Step 3: Service Description
Use the rich text editor to write a detailed description of the service. You can add headings, paragraphs, images, and videos to bring the listing to life. Cover:
- What happens during the session or service delivery
- What the client will receive (reports, plans, videos, etc.)
- How long it takes
- Any prerequisites or preparation the client should do
AI tools are available inside the editor for generating or refining copy. See AI Service Tools.
Step 4: Price & Configuration
Billing Type
Choose how the service is billed:
- per Hour
- per Day
- per Session
- Flat Rate
Service Tiers
You can offer up to three tiers of the service (e.g. Basic, Pro, Premium). Each tier has its own name, description, and price. The first tier is the default. For each tier you set:
- Name - e.g. "Basic", "Pro", or your own label
- Description - a short summary of what's included at this tier
- Price - in your default currency. Other currencies are auto-calculated using current exchange rates and can be overridden individually
- Deliver within (Flat Rate billing only) - your turnaround commitment
Pricing tier details are also covered in Service Pricing.
Tax
If you are registered for tax via Stripe (e.g. VAT, GST, Sales Tax), the applicable tax rate is added on top of the tier price when a client books. You can configure tax settings in your business settings. PitchGurus does not manage or remit tax on your behalf.
Free Video Consultation
Optionally offer a free video consultation as part of this service. We recommend turning this on where it makes sense - it helps build trust and lets clients confirm the service is right for them before paying.
Client Requirements
If you need extra information (e.g. video footage, training history) before delivering the service, enable this option. For services delivered Remotely, this option is mandatory.
Participation
Choose whether this service is delivered to groups or one-to-one. For group services, you can also set a maximum group size (leave at 0 for no limit).
Service Output
Tell clients what they'll receive. For remotely delivered services you can pick either or both:
- A report delivered through the platform
- A video call
For in-person services this is a single option that lets clients know if a follow-up report or further information will be provided alongside sessions.
Step 5: Cover Image
Pick something that helps the viewer immediately understand what the service is. The image is displayed in a 3:2 aspect ratio across the platform.
Upload Your Own
Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB.
Generate with AI
You can generate a professional cover image using AI. This requires the service name, sports, and coach disciplines to be filled in. Each generation costs credits (the exact cost is shown on the button). If you are not happy with the result, generate again or upload your own. AI-generated images are marked with an "AI Generated" badge on the listing.
Publishing Your Service
Once all five steps are complete, save the service. It will be stored as a draft until you publish it. To publish:
- Open the service from your services dashboard
- Click Publish from the service actions menu, or open the service preview and publish from there
Before publishing, make sure you have set a name, at least one tier with a price, a cover image, and an active Stripe Connect account.
See Managing Services for ongoing management, editing, sharing, and duplication.
