Your Two Public Pages
If you run an organisation and also coach, you have two public pages on Pitch Gurus. They are separate records, not two views of one thing, and keeping them straight saves a lot of confusion later.
Your coaching profile is you: your qualifications, your experience, your sport profiles, your reviews as a coach.
Your organisation page is the business: its logo and summary, its sports and facilities, its coaches, its posts and its reviews.
What lives where
| Your coaching profile | Your organisation page | |
|---|---|---|
| Edited under | Your coaching profile | {Your organisation} Profile |
| Qualifications and experience | Yes | No |
| Sport profiles | Yes | Sports, and facilities for a venue |
| Posts | Your own | The organisation's |
| Reviews | Of you | Of the organisation |
| Coaches roster | No | Yes |
Posts and reviews are the pair people most often expect to be shared. They are not. A review left for your club is a review of the club and appears on the club's page with the club's rating. A post you write as yourself appears on your profile. The two never mix, and each has its own screen in the sidebar under its own group.
Which one people see
That depends on what they clicked. A visitor who finds your club in search lands on the club's page. Someone who finds you as a coach lands on yours. A service or an event shows the owner it was published under, which is why it matters whether you create a listing as yourself or as the organisation.
If you do not coach
Plenty of people who run a club never coach for it. If that's you, you won't have a coaching profile group at all, and the organisation page is simply your page. Nothing is missing.
See Switching Between Organisations if you act for more than one.
